Three Home Staging Tips for Fall Weather
It may still be warm here in Nashville but fall is right around the corner. With a new season comes a new opportunity to wow potential buyers. Here are three home staging tips for brisk fall weather.
Decorate but don’t overdo it.
It’s a great idea to get in the fall spirit but don’t over do it, that’ll just distract buyers. Focus on the parts of fall that make you feel all comfy and cozy. Add subtle hints of fall leaves or fall fruits in your home. You can also add seasonal colors as accents in your house. Smells in the fall are a big deal so grab themed candle that evokes memories of pumpkin patches or apple picking.
Don't forget to decorate outside! Curb appeal is just as important in the fall as it is year-round. Now, though, you’ll want to decorate for the season. Add a fall wreath to your front door and place some extra fall foliage around your front porch.
Brighten your home.
Now that the days are getting shorter, it’s even more important to add some much-needed light to your house. Before every showing, make sure to turn on all of your lights. You can also add natural light by opening up your blinds.
Light a fire.
If you have a fireplace in your home, now is the time to use it as a selling point. Make sure it’s seen as a focal point in the living room. Play up its coziness. Don’t leave it burning, unless it’s an open house and an agent will be there the entire time.
