'Southern Living' Puts Nashville in South's Best Cities List for 2017
Those of us lucky enough to already call Nashville home know that it’s one of the best cities in the south but Southern Living agrees. The southern-style magazine revealed their list of the South’s Best Cities 2017 list and Music City has an impressive spot.
Southern Living is doing what they do best, celebrating the south. They say the its “never been a hotter place to live, and we’re not just talking about the weather.” Although the weather in this part of the US is hot, there are a lot of reasons it’s hot (and we don't mean the temperature). The magazine lists Nashville on the 10 city list and, although we aren’t no. 1, we’re near the top. The magazine put Nashville at No. 4 only behind Charleston, Savannah and New Orleans.
“Music City is booming, and not just in its fabled recording studios,” the magazine states. “From downtown development to an influx of newcomers calling the city home, Nashville is as hot as its chicken.”
Southern Living attributes a lot of Nashville’s hotness to the amount of Nashville newbies we get on a regular basis. Although the city is getting bigger by the day, our southern hospitality is still here and that’s one of the most charming things about Music City. Don’t believe us? Plan your trip to visit Nashville’s Grand Ole Opry, Ryman Auditorium, sample some hot chicken and walk down Broadway. It won’t take long for you to see why so many new people call Nashville home daily.
