Four Home Projects to Try During Quarantine

The coronavirus is worldwide now and it has people home for most hours of the day. Whether you’re able to work or not, you’ll probably get bored at some point during this quarantine. Here are a few home projects that are either free or affordable. Try these to improve your home and stay entertained while practicing social distancing.

Spring Cleaning

Get a head start on spring cleaning! As we’ve mentioned before, you can do this room by room. Sort items by things you can donate, throw out or recycle. It wasn’t that many weeks ago that Nashville was hit by the tornado and people still need donations. Consider donating what you can to those organizations that are helping those impacted by the tornado. Do this to one room a day and your house will feel cleaner in no time!

Painting

Have you been avoiding painting your new furniture? Do you have a can of paint that’s been designated for patching up holes or chipped paint on the walls? Have you wanted to change the paint in your bedroom or add an accent wall in your living room? Now is the perfect time for a paint project! Get the whole family involved and head out to the backyard while the paint dries.

Tend to Your Garden

The weather is getting warmer and your garden and yard probably need some TLC following winter. Now is a great time to get outdoors and get started! Whether it’s tending to weeds, cutting the grass, pulling dead plants or planting new ones, this is a great way to make things beautiful again. Not only will it improve your mood when you look out at your work, but it will also bring a smile to your neighbors!

Rearrange

Get a fresh perspective on your home by rearranging furniture. Move your bed closer to a bright window, color-code your bookshelf or just move your desk into a quieter room. This may help you become more productive while quarantined and it’ll definitely be nice to have a new perspective. Since you're probably cooking and eating at home a lot, it's also prime time to get in your pantry and reorganize. Throw out any items that are past their prime, too.

These are just a few ways to improve your home while stuck inside. Your Synergy Realty Network agent can help you with more ideas, especially if you’re getting ready to sell your home. We’re here for you and hope you and your family are staying well and healthy.
