Change This One Thing in Your Bedroom and You Could Sleep Better
Your bedroom should be your sanctuary in your home. You should feel relaxed and at ease when you’re in your bedroom. You should also get a great night’s sleep but that doesn't always happen. Did you know that just by changing your bedroom’s lighting you can sleep better?
According to an article done by Better Homes and Gardens with tips from the American Lighting Association, it’s important to make sure you’re using the right lighting, especially at night. They suggest using lights that are dim and warm (like an amber-colored bulb). An easy way to do this is to get dimmable LED lights that also change colors. The New York Times did an article about this a few years ago and found that this should be done throughout the home when the sun goes down.
Another option is the easy one, especially if you're forgetful. Invest in smart lighting and have the lighting change every day at the same time, so you’ll never have to worry about it yourself. There are a ton of smart light options out there today but Philips Hue has great reviews.
