Our Nashville weather may feel more like spring right now but — winter is coming! We want to make sure your pipes don’t freeze when temperatures get frigid. Follow these five tips to ensure you’re not spending a fortune to fix frozen pipes this winter.
Insulate Your Pipes
It’s very important to insulate your exposed pipes! Take care of the water pipes in your crawlspace, basement and attic with insulation foam or wrappers which can be purchased from any hardware store.
Open Your Cabinets
When the temperatures really start to drop, it’s important to take care of your indoor pipes. Help keep them warm by opening cabinet doors that contain piping. It may not be the best looking way to protect your home, but it’s been proven to help.
