This picture was taken at a model home in Franklin TN. When my husband and I walked in, there were several people in there and they were oooohing and ahhhhing. They were touching and feeling this wall!!! As a new home selections coordinator, realtor and DIY gal, I thought this was worthy of sharing.
What I love about this design is that it doesn't have to be expensive. This wall was created by using 1x2 lumber in a cross diagonal pattern. I LOVE the 3D effect in the monochromatic color scheme. These pieces of wood are about $4.00 each for an 8 foot section. I am guessing that this wall cost between $60 and $80 to create, depending on the retail store from which the lumber was purchased. The key is to finding the center of the room, and then determine how large you want your diamonds. Smaller rooms should have a larger pattern, or if you want more visual interest you can tighten it up a bit. Just remember you have to love it! Experiment with tape on the wall to before you start cutting. You can do this!!!
