Ronnie Dunn Pays $2.5 Million for Davidson County Property
Ronnie Dunn, one half of the Grammy Award-winning duo Brooks & Dunn, has invested $2.5 million in Forest Hills.
Dunn and his wife, Janine, purchased the Davidson County property from a local businessman, according to the Nashville Post. They bought the six-acre property from Thomas F. Frist III and his wife, Julie D. Frist, in southwest Nashville. That’s a big investment for the “Boot Scootin’ Boggie” singer!
The Nashville Post quotes the Davidson County Register of Deeds records as saying the land at 1900 Chickering Road became Dunn’s for exactly $2.25 million! There’s no home on the property, it’s just six-acres of beautiful land. More than likely, Dunn will build some type of home or barn on the property since it’s only zoned for residential use.
Dunn got a great deal on the land since the Frist family purchased the plot themselves for $3.3 million back in 2005.
This isn’t the country singer’s first big Nashville purchase. At one time, he was the owner of a massive Nashville mansion (complete with a 4,000 square foot barn / guesthouse ).
If you don’t know Brooks & Dunn for their music, you may know Dunn’s duo partner, Kix Brooks for his winery. Brooks is one of the owners of the gorgeous Arrington Vineyards.
