Nashville Named the 3rd Hottest Real Estate Market
A new year is upon us which means statistics from the previous year are rolling in! The 2018 real estate numbers are finally here and Nashville is, once again, a hot market.
Homes.com just released their 2018 list, concluding that the real estate market nationwide saw great progress. According to the website, that’s because of low interest rates. Although that’s true, Nashville did better than most other places. In fact, our market is the third hottest in the country.
It’s no surprise that Nashville is a rapidly growing city — and we grew exponentially in 2018. According to WKRN, we welcome approximately 66 people to Music City every single day. There are a lot of reasons we’re an “it” city right now. Our incredible music scene, the history we have surrounding us, the amount of tasty restaurants in the city and our visibility on national markets are all big factors in this rise in interest.
Although those reasons draw visitors and fans of the city, there are a few reasons they’re actually staying. According to Homes.com, it’s the “city’s economy, job opportunities, high average income and rising home values that convert visitors to residents.”
So now that 2019 is here, what is expected to happen to our local market? The website says they expect home values to rise 3.9% this year and for Nashville to keep its hot real estate market going in the new year.
