Gauge the Market

A great first step in the bidding war is to gauge the local housing market, according to Bankrate. Talk to your realtor and find out if the market is hot or cold at that particular time. That could determine where to come in with your bid. Your agent will also pull comps to see what nearby, similar homes are selling — and at what price.

Nashville’s Real Estate Market is as Hot as the Summer Temperatures

Summer is here and so are hot temperatures in Middle Tennessee. The temperatures aren’t the only thing that’s hot in Nashville, though. The real estate market is also pretty hot, with home sales up 3.4%, according to Nashville Business Journal.

Data from the Greater Nashville Realtors back these findings. This year in June there were 4,172 closings in the Nashville area compared to 4,036 this time last year. The Greater Nashville Realtors’ President, Andrew Terrell, attributes these numbers to mortgage rates.

Nashville Predators Goalie Pekka Rinne Lists West Meade Home for $1.7 Million

Pekka Rinne, our prized Nashville Predators goalie, is moving on up (but not out of West Meade). He’s selling his home for $1.7 million and moving into a custom home nearby, according to Realtor.com. 

The gorgeous home is over 5,100 square feet and boasts five bedrooms and four and a half baths. There’s a beautiful, rectangular pool that sits in the backyard among the one-acre lot. The backyard is perfect for entertaining with the pool, hot tub, fire pit and sauna. If it gets cool outside, the future owner can bring their guests into the rec room that’s fit for a party. It has built-in surround sound, a wet bar and even a keg on tap!
