Two weeks ago I volunteered at Habitat for Humanity for a Franklin, TN building project.  The event was rainy, muddy and bone chilling. It was the coldest day we had thus far in May and it was a tough day to be outside. I didn't know exactly what the day would entail when I signed up for the project and to be honest, I volunteered to meet some new agents and possibly learn some new skills with power tools. I really didn't know what to expect.  What I found was a family and not a building project.

Tim McGraw and Faith Hill’s Historic Antebellum Home is For Sale

Country’s favorite couple, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, are selling their Franklin home. The beautiful southern house is listed at $18.5 million with a ton of amenities.

The 622-acre property is a lot more than just a gorgeous antebellum home. In fact, there are six homes on the entire property! There are two caretaker houses, two guest houses, a log cabin that’s been restored and the historic antebellum home. There’s even a 12-stall barn for equestrians.

The log home is historic and was built way back in 1800. It’s 3,152 square feet with three bedrooms and four full bathrooms and the master bedroom is actually considered a suite. The home has six fireplaces and an eat-in kitchen.

I'll be honest, I am a new house snob. I love the smell of fresh cut wood, paint, and freshly stained floors. I LOVE the fact that I am the first to call an address home.  I love creating new designs for each one of my personal homes and yes each one has been completely different from the previous. For me it is fun, for others I realize it is daunting and scary.   I have 5 personal builds under my belt as well as working as a designer for 3 home builders over the last 11 years, so of course it was easy!

There are families that feel it is too hard and not worth
